Name

Most Age of Corporations stories take place around 'present day', which is 2227.

New Washington naming conventions as of that time were largely racially divided.

Elves are typically named by ancient words brought to them by ancestral memory. A suitably Tolkienesque first name is typically what an Elf or High Elf will bear, especially one with traditional parents. Elven surnames are passed down by family and typically derive from the name of a plant. Modern elves frequently take more human names, however.
(EXAMPLES: Elwyn Arrowroot, Lerrion Arnica, Ravi Silverbell)

Orcish names are NOT passed down by family. An orcish child will be given a first name and will have no last name until he comes of age. The first name for a child actually raised by orcs or those who respect orcish tradition will typically be angular and rough, with hard consonants and long vowels. Make liberal use of Ts, Ks and GRs. Many Orcish of thinner blood have human first names. Orcish last names are earned by deed, with the exception of very esteemed or long-lived family lines (such as the Beanhammers). The Orcish will either be given the name by others or will take the name himself, but only after finding a truly fitting vocation or trait. The name will generally be in either english or orcish. These last names are frequently hyphenated.
(EXAMPLES: Dorek Quick-Runner, Jakob Thunder-Maul, Arra Korre-Kahar)

Humans, Morphs, Mutants and Pol's Cats, being of the same stock, are all named in the same fashion. All three generally feel free to borrow from other races to name themselves and frequently do so, but they also have their own unique fashion of naming drawn from a mishmash of traditional human culture. Because human history has been kept so poorly, New Washingtonians now have very little knowledge concerning bloodlines and traditions. A typical way to name a New Washingtonian humanblood is with a first and surname of mismatching ethnicity, neither of which the character actually has to be. Good combinations are found by taking an ordinary, well-known first or last name and making the other outlandish or terribly mismatched. Then again, you could just name your character something perfectly ordinary. That's fine too.
(EXAMPLES: Robin Kanazawa, Roaring Wind Smith, Maximo Enrique Flugelman)

Dragon names sound close enough to the orcish language that many people confuse them, which offends the average dragonblooded so much as to have incited dozens of duels and a war or two. As even dragons speak english by default, such names are obviously not in the dragon tongue, and the reason that they still sound the way they do is that many dragonblooded carry family names that are millennia old. The 'sound' of the name should match the dragonblooded's element. Actual dragons bear only their family name; dragonblooded carry both a first and last name.
(EXAMPLES: Mether, Loram Bryll, Gareth Thakarr)

It's anyone's guess as to what a Faerie is going to end up being named.
(EXAMPLES: Very Very The Twentieth, Mr. Rebermyersonington, Tom Three-Shoes, Alex Smith)
