Magic Certification

Notes on Magic

At the very least, pre-certification must be obtained in a type of magic before ANY spells can be purchased. Even if your character does not have certification from the city, you must purchase certs on your character sheet to reflect the instruction necessary to learn magic.

During character creation, you may ONLY purchase a la carte spells from a certification level you already have or from the level directly above it.

After character creation, any spells learned must be taught or studied; GM permission is necessary for all spell purposes or level-ups.

Civilian Class Defense Magic (CCDM)

Military Class Defense Magic (MCDM)

Med-Tech Standard

Elemental Intrinsic

Color Magic

Detection Magic

New Washington Anti-Magic Standard

Standard Illusion

Sigil Magic (City Alphabet)

Please note: Most types of magic will not adequately conform to the standard certification process (at least, not now). The availability of spells is highly dependent on school, style and even individual teacher. While I intend to work on this section, for now please speak directly to your GM. When purchasing, assume:

Level 1: Pre-Certification
Level 2: Apprentice
Level 3: Journeyman
Level 4: Adept
