Humans are, of course, the cornerstone of New Washington's society. They founded it and made it thrive, and their Birthright magic, technomancy, is commonly believed to be the sole source of its survival.
Although humans do not have any particularly astonishing aptitude with any particular skill, knowledge, or ordinary magic, their adaptability and tenacity are far more pronounced than that of any other race. Humans are generally self-centered and greedy, like elves, but also have a penchant for “hive mind"-esque behavior typically seen only in monster societies.
Their rule of the known world for many centuries has made them exceedingly apt at building civilization, and it is probably thanks to them that the sentient races of the world are still alive in this time of strife.
