First and foremost, Mael (pronounced “May-elle". I think it's short for “Maelstrom") is a girl. She's a bit of a tom boy, hence why she looks a bit like a guy. Okay. Moving on....
Look! It's a CHIBI!!! Awwwwwwwww. *huggles chibi* Anywho, I installed the shiny new graphics tablet on the upstairs computer (yay!) so now I can use it with Photoshop 6. And use it I did. Screw the mouse, I used only the graphics tablet on this, including all outlines and colouring. It looks much better than my doodle of Sable (za_sabledoodle). It's a lot cleaner. I noticed that the graphics tablet works better with PS6 than PSP7 (hm).
I built up the outline using a whole bunch of layers, starting from the skeletal structure and so on.
I've been drawing Mael for a while now... technically before Sable. The first pic I ever did of her was in AP Euro when I was bored out of my mind. It's here --> za_mael. Needless to say, she's come a long way in terms of design. ^^; Mebbe I'll post the doodles I did... but I doubt it. I'm not keen on posting character sheets. ^^; Pleh - now I'm just wasting space. *flees*
