Ahhh Dox . . . it's hard to describe poor Dox if you're not familiar with the Eberron Campaign Setting. Dox is a changling freelancer. What's more, Dox is what some changlings call a “Becomer.” Becomers believe that within them lies the potential for all things, though since some things are defined by excluding others, one cannot always be all things at once. Dox has taken this philosophy to startling implementation. He is truely known by very few and instead has put together a long list of detailed personas he lives out from day to day. His roles are so convincing that many of these personas have become respected figures within various parts of the land.
Dox usually gets himself, and others, involved in adventure by setting up his shop as a mercenary broker. He claims to have every sort of contact with every sort of warrior or worker that his clients could possibly need, and his prices are quite competitive. In truth, almost half the mercenaries his clients hire are really Dox in one of his disguises.
As a Bard and Chameleon Dox has astonishing versatility. Given preperation he can gain the powers of almost any class for his cover identities. He can pretend to be a Barbarian, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, and even Wizard with astonishing accuracy.
