Thus was it written by no man.
From the Book of the Apocalypse, discovered in Varius circa 3000 BCE:
Thus is it writ, thus shall it be known. This world must end to begin again.
The agent of Earth will set the weariest souls to rest after their aeons of life.
The agent of Fire will bring away those who are one with the ether.
The agent of Metal will give a warrior's death to unbeatable foes.
The agent of Water will give the restless spirits their final goodbye.
The agent of Wood will make the industrious cease their labors.
Thus the Five will end the time of Legends.
The high spirit will take the hearts of the righteous and bring them to kill their
fellows.
The low spirit will stoke the anger of the evil and lead them to monsterous deeds.
The spirit of the ocean will bid sadness to bear the hearts of the sad to the grave.
The spirit of the fire will bid the hearts of the passionate to burst.
Thus the Four will end the reign of Men.
The Red will be the Rain. It will blight the land, and strip the life away.
The Blue will be the Beast. Driven to madness, it will slay its way across creation.
The Green will be the World. Seeing its death approach, it will cry out in rage.
Thus the Three will lay the world bare.
The Destroyer will till the soil.
The Preserver will plant the seeds.
Thus the Two will prepare for the new world.
Once all else is done,
The One who began it all will depart.
So is it writ by no man, so must it be.
