Ticked Elfy (CG)

Well, took me long enough, but here it is, my colored version of Za's Angry chibis are cute!!! =3. Again, used the Gimp, using 59 layers (I used a screen/multiply layers method rather than dodge/burn, so it used a whole lotta layers); am very glad that Gimp handles layers well.

Attempted to make a background; got as far as putting in gradients for sky and ground, and attempted to make a treeline off to the right; discovered that making backgrounds is not among my more effective talents, so I shadowed the treeline. Yes, that does say “There are trees over here."

Oh, and I very much need a graphics tablet. It's really hard to get good shadow gradients with only a mouse; the smudge tool does help a bit, but it's still difficult as all hell.

Also, doing CG work over a network connection is slow and painful. Especially when you want to make sure your colors are good.
